I truly believe I have a Henry Mancini manifestation embedded in my mind, strategically soundtracking my days. I'm a big fan of Mancini's score work and groovy, melancholic songs. This painting was purely sparked by one song, and one song only, which is Orange Tamoure from the Charade soundtrack. As a true maniac, I like to paint while playing music and movies simultaneously. I had on Phantom of the Opera while my Charade record was obsessively flipped back and forth. Morning Masquerade was a direct result of the merging of the moods. The mania and masquerading of our morning selfs, trying to find a balance.
