this era is about evolving my clarity — not prioritizing how hard I work, but how deeply. An introspective on the retrospective does seem to lend a hand. I think we can all agree: it’s baffling to navigate the world right now. We are living in fearful times. I’ve learned that fear and excitement are not mutuallly exclusive — being a human is hard, I know! Channeling out positive energy towards anyone who needs a boost 🫂💫

For vibes, here’s some recent content, now no longer lost in my camera roll 🏴‍☠️

Seeing @maryspacekate tonight as she absolutely dominates as Elphaba in @wicked_musical — blessed to have met her when she played Janis Ian in @meangirlsmusical — back in 2018 I created a handful of the costume pieces for bway and national tour & continue to produce duplicates for new runs and cast. 🎭 crazy how life works! let’s go MK - can’t wait to see what you do next 👑

Just finished watching #SNL50 @nbcsnl — can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I worked in costumes for the 40th. Forever grateful for the shared space at studio 8H with the most hardworking people & extreme education in professionalism, mania, and high speed execution — and til this day I’m still v proud of the barf I painted for Bobby Moynihan.

In the past two weeks, my East Village home & studio received a magical revival. Freshly re-painted ceilings/walls with new a curation of artwork…and it’s all about the lighting. Elevated warm and zen atmosphere for an immersive feel. Studio now caters to scaffolding & canvas of all size with an added design office. It’s a stunning and productive energy.

I knew after my ‘24 solo show I needed to revitalize my environment vibe to give my mind time to rest/evolve/reset. What you surround yourself with is a reflection of you — and will influence what you create. So grateful to lock in this February, painting some of my best work yet 🔮 Most definitely celebrating Aquarius season appropriately ♒️🎂

we’ve put in the WORK this year — and still half a month to go. Past 12 months, we have moved into a new studio, painted/renovated, catered to 10+ large commissions, executed over 50 paintings, re-launched our Ecom website, produced a new line of merch, and opened a month long solo show in Chelsea. Plus, very blessed with the best circle of people. And I’m even more spoiled to be able to call my parents every day. That’s just a general vibe, baby! We love to work — lucky as ever. We, as in me and @studiocatvelvet 🐈‍⬛ bring on 2025, we are warriors ready to take on a new challenge 😉 I dedicate my life force to my craft; it’s just who I am and I can’t give up on myself. So, you never know what’s next… grateful today 🌕
