West 8th Street is officially co-named! Thank you to Janie Hendrix, @stevievanzandt, Maureen Van Zandt and @teachrockorg ! Back in 2017, I painted a poster declaring ‘Hendrix Way is Eighth Street” and started my collaboration and friendship with Lee Foster of @electricladystudios. We held petition-signing events at @cafewha, @morrisonhotelgallery, my storefront @stormritterstudio, and @villageon8th street fairs — all contributing to press in the @nytimes, @cbsnewyork, @amnewyork, etc. Over 55,000 signatures were collected and hundreds of Jimi Hendrix Way shirts were rocked by the people! Without our grassroots efforts, pioneered by my friends and Hendrix advocates, Lee Foster, @zaphyrella13, @rob_manian, @camolots, and thousands of village locals and nationwide Hendrix fans.

Change starts with us. 💪 🧠 The day I painted that poster, I simply wanted to educate my visitors on the legendary history of 8th street. That little idea sparked a cultural moment in history for NYC. Jimi Hendrix Way was a passion project and it’s surreal to see it come true! @jimihendrix forever!!!

this era is about evolving my clarity — not prioritizing how hard I work, but how deeply. An introspective on the retrospective does seem to lend a hand. I think we can all agree: it’s baffling to navigate the world right now. We are living in fearful times. I’ve learned that fear and excitement are not mutuallly exclusive — being a human is hard, I know! Channeling out positive energy towards anyone who needs a boost 🫂💫

I’ve been a sedulous little hermit at my East Village studio for six months, nourishing and transforming my artistry and business 🧠🔮 But, it’s about time to conclude my social media hiatus and share my process for my next crescendo.

Aquarius season was transformative 🧞‍♀️ still feeling the love and supportive vibes from my friends the past couple weeks. Many more field trips to the met opera & studio parties to commence once I take a lil work break 🎨 ☀️🔮

In early stages working on my new collection for summer — transforming my brain once again (as you can’t stay the same!) for something magical & theatrical. As ppl grow, we often forget to value the whimsy & childlike joy (especially in our 🌎 rn) but reminder, if an artist is having the purest of fun while creating, the viewer will in return feel that imbedded vibe. Extremely elementary, but easily forgotten. just a little micro rant; go feed your imagination 🎱

Seeing @maryspacekate tonight as she absolutely dominates as Elphaba in @wicked_musical — blessed to have met her when she played Janis Ian in @meangirlsmusical — back in 2018 I created a handful of the costume pieces for bway and national tour & continue to produce duplicates for new runs and cast. 🎭 crazy how life works! let’s go MK - can’t wait to see what you do next 👑
