- Saturn's Sitting Duck
Do you ever feel like you're a blatant sitting duck ? Especially when it comes to making dumb decisions? Life seems to be out of our control more often than not. Our power is our minds and how we use them. There's a constant passing of ideas and thoughts in our brains, affecting our decisions, ergo affecting our lives. Maybe we do have control of our lives, but only in passing. Either way, we all are just sitting ducks until we make a move to change. The definition of a sitting duck is a person or thing with no protection against an attack or other source of danger. See that the caricature duck housing the three people in the center, almost looks like a rubber ducky? Note that orange beak and let your imagination shape him out. That form didn't reveal itself until I began to varnish the piece. Ergo, the titling. This painting was created with a flow of the unconscious. No huge plan, just listening to call of color and balance. As I got deeper into the work, I personally was feeling a lack of control, literally about everything tangible. Almost an outer-body vibe, ya feel? I think that comes in waves for everyone. I let the canvas take control to perhaps give me a reading on myself. And Saturn, well, Saturn in astrology (usually) controls negative energy in hardships and struggles. In palmistry, it's your middle finger (ironic, huh?,) The Saturn finger can show how a person handles decisions, especially challenging ones. So "Saturn's Sitting Duck" is a symbolic depiction of the realities of blindly making dangerously stupid decisions.
- Venus In Aries
This painting was started in February 2021 during my aquarian birth month. Usually I finish a piece in a short weeks or close months, but I ended up truly coming back to it in August 2021. Creating these esoteric paintings is so organic; I enjoy reading into the story as it unfolds. Everything I make seems to teach me a lesson or school me about myself. Once I had time to truly develop it, I named it Venus In Aries. In fact, my Venus does falls into Aries, which straight up makes me an intense force in relationships and love of all kinds. And definitely does not make a women, prey of any sort. This piece felt personal, and I love the nod to Moulin Rouge-esque, French Impressionistic forms. When I worked on the painting originally, I wrote a supplementary poem: Ascension is on the rise; hope is about to humanize. Mortals who search for happiness, won't find these portals in church. Unless their obsession for validation is solaced by the earth. Needless to say, I think it does fit well with Venus In Aries, and I love how this piece makes me feel.
- Artist's Light
"Express light, not the physical phenomenon, but the only light that really exists, that in the artist's brain..." This is a quote from Matisse in 1945, and fuck does this resonate! Found it to be so comforting while heavy simultaneously. What a beautiful way to express spirituality of an artist. Same day I read this I had an aura photograph taken, and I endlessly inspired to believe in my own power even more. Maybe a nudge to the ego, but hey we all need that. Especially moody artists. So yes! I must continue listening to my intuition and follow my own thoughts. I am constantly open to opinions and big into learning, but there's something extremely valuable about our own inner lights. So fuck it, I know how to create my own fire, baby! Just wanted to share this photo and bask in the notion that we are powerful. Although we are not the center of the world, we should make sure we center ourselves to know our brains are enough entertainment. Way fucking better than social media, right?
- Process, Baby, Process
One foot in the past, one foot in the present: that's the theme recently. Working on finishing a 30-piece series and the personal study has been intense. I've been focusing on painting with the unconscious in mind, producing psychedelic-surrealist stories. Unconscious painting is almost like sculpting, and I'm passionate but sculpting not only souls, but color palettes. This method of creation relies purely on emotion and mindset. Once I get goosebumps, I can move on to another section. And right now, I'm feeling extremely positive about finalizing my last 5 pieces of the series. Here's a few process photo snaps from today's studio session.
- Start of September
What a busy past week with so much success! Been hustling at home and around the city, making things happen! Luckily with a little help from new and old friends, good things ahead. Weeks events included styling pulls for an upcoming tv show, personal shopping appointments, a studio photoshoot, and plans for an October gallery show in Meatpacking. Needless to say, I'm jazzed up with energy but also in need of a recharge. It's now labor day weekend, but for me that means more painting and focus time. Been so grateful recently to work as much as I do and positive that this month will bloom gorgeous results. Today I was able to have a past client over for personal shopping, and that was so refreshing! So now the rest of the long weekend will be filled with reflection and renewal. Working on finishing a canvas series and starting a complimentary one for upcoming shows. And of course some clothing paintings. It's been nice to reflect upon past work, specifically The Cool People, to see how I can implement stronger storytelling.
- Divine Process
The beauty underneath a finished painting truly makes a piece sing to the soul. These are a few images snapped during the painting process, meaning they are forever gone. Layers can spawn an emotional depth, and it's rewarding to capture moments in time before they are depleted.

- Leo Moon
Oh the Leo Moon, an inner light, so iridescently bright. A leader with a irrelevant force of power. Fifth house of the zodiac, they shine with a sense of generosity, independency and soulful glamour. The divine five, nothing more dynamic.
- Pisces Moon
Pisces Moon brings forth intuitive empathy, vivacious dreams, and an unwavering sense of compassion. This ethereal piece immerses the soul into the upward flow of emotions. A water sign, Pisces themselves, can sometimes be dubbed as "crazy or chaotic," but it's their emotional dominance that society perhaps mis-labels. Although, crazy, in my book is celebrated. The 12th sign of the zodiac, Pisces identifies with the symbol Mercury, representing independent thought.
- Wine + Paint
Chatted with a fellow artist yesterday about how I often mix wine with paint. About five years ago, I was working on a garment but was too lazy to refill my water cup. Funny enough, I had a half-bottle of old wine nearby and used that instead. Once I discovered that wine and paint can created an unique technique, I was taken aback from the experiment. And sure enough today I noticed on my social media timeline these memories photos popped up. The serendipitous synchronicity! I like to call myself queen of the archive, and I'm so grateful I keep such documented visuals to reference old processes and concepts. This series of self-portraits and video are re-inspiring me today to keep experimenting with my work.

- August Reflection
Where the hell did the time go this year. We are now in the middle of August and change is a'brewing. Feel like I always say that change is on the horizon, but I really feel it now. Perhaps it's all the recent drama in my life or just the overwhelming and endless stress of Covid. But, there's something to be said for mental health. Right now, trying to hone in all the energy that I exude. There's business Storm, artist Storm, and human Storm -- these three pillars in my persona usually balance out to keep be ridiculously production and happy. But recently, there's a lack of human Storm, with an emphasis on business Storm. Does this make sense? Just a little reflection to look back on later in life. This August 2021 has been a tough one so far; hope when I'm reading this in December 2021, I'll have a strong chuckle.
- scorpio sun
Mars and Pluto are the ruling planets for Scorpio. Eighth month in the zodiac calendar and infused with flames of emotions. Competitive powerhouses, Scorpios are complex creatures, usually filled with all the spices of life. The scorpio friends I have are filled with fire, and seemingly, always on a personal journey. This piece embodies the warmth of their sign. The painting has such gorgeous texture, with a lovely satin finish, the entirety of the canvas feels like a object of an old world. As this ages, it will only gain more energy and character.
- capricorn moon
An otherworldly escape into the realm of the Capricorn Moon ––– a window into the divine. The zodiac, Capricorn, is often associated with opinionated & powerful personas. This story emphasizes an earthy sharpness, moreover, a keen sense of moving upwards. Saturn, the ruling planet of Capricorn, brings forth elevation with a focus on angles & edges. There's a direct-to-the-point vibe when it comes to decision making, as Caps are innate leaders. A dramatic sense of depth is highlighted, allowing the viewer to explore the intricacies of this ethereal universe. With the satin finish, it has such a luxurious quality in various lighting. The texture of the piece picks up shadows and reflects light just enough to create a sense of indulgence. Rock on.
- chirography
The art if analyzing handwriting is called Chirography. Since my mom taught me calligraphy as a kid, I'm developed so many variations of swerve-meets-curve handwriting styles. Nothing more authentic than someone's handwriting, and I find it so fun to read into people by their style of lettering. Recently I was sharing some poetry and illustrations online, and I had such a huge response about my handwriting. Slowly developing digital font packages of handwriting. So now always all font on this website is my own!
