bleecker street
People ask me if I’m going to open up another shop in the village. Ah, the rent, man! But I’m reminded how special community places are, like Village Revival Records . I was bumming around Macdougal street last night with my friend Justin (@shotalive) & stopped by the record shop - which was closed early for holiday. Luckily bumped into my the shop owner, Jamal, who opened just so we could snap some flickaronies (RIP Ricky Powell) Records to me are soul fulfilling, and so is

you go girl
Sun is coming out, restaurants/stores are fully opening up, and people are emerging from their caves. 2021 in NYC feels hopeful, and I'm feeling zealously free. I am the conductor of my own life, and I'm fortunate enough to be a dedicated hustler. In that sense, I work hard, focus on creating authentic works of art, and throw myself into sales/marketing on a regular basis. My life is my business, in many ways. But now that we are moving out of the dark days of pandemic, I do

New Art | "Swamp Serenade"
Jubilance and warmth can be found in drought. Sometimes you can be stuck between a rock and a hard place. Life seems to feel like that recently with the pandemic, governmental transition, and loss of life -- in many ways. Taking a deep breath, and pushing onward day by day is a triumph. This painting glorifies the rejoicing feelings even in a drained source of life.

Face Mask Production, Donations, & Fundraiser
From March 2020 to 2022, over two thousand face masks were handmade, donated, sold, shipped, and delivered from Storm's West Village home studio. Right before the start of the pandemic, Storm and her talented seamstress Jenny Lin designed street style face masks for a client. Conveniently having patterns prepared and using the Storm Ritter Studio deadstock original fabric, Storm focused on mask production in March. Sending material back and forth with Jenny, bulk double-si

at the core
As Cat Stevens says,"y ou're going to wind up where you started from." One of my favorite songs (ever) is Sitting . November thus far has proven to be eye-opening to the self. Stripping away more layers of artistry to evolve. Talking to a friend today we highlighted the need for creative people to have countless trades and skill sets. You got to wear a fuck ton of hats if you want to be an artist. One thing to make art, another thing to sell it. The key right now in the mess

New Art | Slight of Hand, Radicals Rattle, & Fight The Flow (+ Photo Diary)
...and all the cool people merely players. What a fucking flow I'm in this month. Finding a sweet spot with a sense of balance for the unconscious and conscious. My background in theatre and scenic design is taking precedence in my brain. The unconscious creates an environment and the conscious fills the worlds with energy. This is just a small start to a new chapter in showcasing who The Cool People really are. Past week I have finished about ten small canvases, all intertw

Photo Gallery from WV Studio
November so far has been action packed with custom orders, new canvas series, and planning/prepping for new projects in the winter. 2021 may be the year we start drinking the kool-aid again -- finger's crossed. Here's some causal pics from this month thus far.

Studio Art: "The Dance"
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen heard, or even touched; they must be felt with the heart." A good friend recently sent me this quote, and it brought me such solace. Coincidently I was working on this piece, The Dance, which complimented those words exactly. There's an ethereal notion about energy that can't be physically acknowledged, and I know this piece brought forth that sensation.

Art & Design | "Internal Inferno"
The beast of vengeance is near! The title, Internal Inferno , was first a name for a 2015 canvas painting, But the name developed into an ongoing concept. When I am in a state of internal inferno , I 'm boiling over with rage inside over something or someone that was in the wrong. Its a feeling we all find when our world is attacked, and we want to focus in right on the cause of destruction. Powerful, the phrase gives inner strength to dispel the flames inside. No one really
